Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor returned in Stree 2, which continued its predecessor’s legacy with stellar collections of Rs 884.45 crores. Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again reaffirmed the actor’s action-hero status, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of the year with Rs 402.26 crores. Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 kept the audience enthralled with Rs 421.22 crores, cementing its place among the top films of the year.
Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon delivered a powerful performance in Crew, while Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor’s romantic drama Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljah Jiya impressed cinephiles. The action-packed Shaitaan, starring R. Madhavan and Ajay Devgn, and Varun Dhawan’s gritty Baby John were also notable successes.
Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan’s Kalki with Rs 1054.67 crores and Ayushmann Khurrana’s socially charged Article 370 added depth to Bollywood’s cinematic offerings, rounding off an extraordinary year at the box office with Rs 110.57 crore. Also, Hanu-Man made its mark with Rs 294.18 crores.
